Bodies Are Not Alone

Mixed media on cardboard series

In this series, for which I worked with live models, I focused directly on studying the body in isolation from its environment and surroundings, capturing it in various emotional and psychological states. The solo figures, and at times pairs, all seemed to share one thing in common: the body.

Bodies that, with every internal tension or external reaction, take on a form or shape that, over time, I realized had something in common among them.

The discovery, observation, and representation of these bodily forms helped me draw closer to the language and world of the body—and to realize that, contrary to what we may feel or think, Bodies Are Not Alone.
